Andrew Sage is a co-founder of CodeTheCity – an organisation established to promote and apply new thinking and solutions to civic challenges – primarily using Open Data. In late 2015 Andrew and his colleagues established ODIAberdeen, the first node in Scotland of the Open Data Institute.
Andrew sees himself as an imagineer creating new worlds across various mediums. Currently he is experimenting in using Virtual Reality to visualise Open Data.
In 2014 Andrew was a Code For Europe Fellow and worked with Aberdeen City Council on several Open Data projects. These projects included creating several portals to aggregate Open Data and developing a range of native mobile apps to consume and add to the Open Data.
He also works as part of Tirami, a company that was set up by the five Fellows who took part in the Scottish arm of the 2014 Code For Europe programme.
